Solitude + Stillness
Poems by me.
I've grown to love you still moments
Times of solitude a gift
There was a time where being still
Being alone brought up fear
There was discomfort in the quiet
Discomfort in having to listen to the quiet or not so quiet inside
There was a constant desire to have every minute consumed
Yet it's in the moments that I once feared most
That have become a treasure
How can you get to know your soul if you can't hear it?
How can you know your heart if you don't have time to feel it?
Being busy is overrated
Being still can be undervalued
Solitude can be mistaken as negative
Conquering fears is a beautiful thing
Especially when you can look at them straight in the face
And grow to love them.
