Environment

Saving our planet, lifting people out of poverty, advancing economic growth... these are one and the same fight. We must connect the dots between climate change, water scarcity, energy shortages, global health, food security and women’s empowerment. Solutions to one problem must be solutions for all.
— Ban Ki-moon

Below are organizations I support and admire in their relentless pursuit of tackling climate change.

Protect our winters

Protect Our Winters is a passionate crew of diehards, professional athletes and industry brands mobilizing the outdoor sports community to lead the charge towards positive climate action. We focus on educational initiatives, political advocacy and
community-based activism.

The past decade has been the warmest on record, with 2015 the warmest year ever. Meanwhile, the northern hemisphere has already lost a million square miles of spring snowpack since 1970—an area three times the size of Texas.  Snow levels are rising in elevation and winters are shorter. Climate change is already affecting winter.

Carbon war room (Rocky mountain institute)

Since its founding in 2009 as a global nonprofit by Sir Richard Branson and a group of like-minded entrepreneurs, Carbon War Room’s purpose has been to accelerate the adoption of business solutions that reduce carbon emissions at gigaton scale and advance the low-carbon economy.

In 2014, Carbon War Room merged with Rocky Mountain Institute, and RMI continues to use the Carbon War Room brand in many markets given its exceptional reputation.
